Rock Out With Your Cock Out*

history

I had some time on my hands today and I was thinking back and I haven't been to a live concert in what seems like a very a long time. I think the last concert I went to was a Brooks and Dunn concert and that's only because my mom and dad couldn't go and they didn't want the tickets to go to waste. The trip to the concert and leaving the concert pretty much encapsulated the most entertaining parts of the trip. Yee-haw!

The last show I actually bought tickets for was a David Gray concert back in April 2001 when I was still in high school. (Yes, high school.) So it's been a long time. A very long time.

I'll go see anything at this point; I'm open to all sorts of musical acts these days, even ones that I may have never heard of before. I have a lot of favorite bands of my own, but I have very little time to keep up with when they will be in my area. That and the fact that most of my friends have moved away or have schedules of their own that are complex enough to make coordinating a simple get together tough.

So I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place. I really want to go to something, but it seems like everything is working against me. Hell... I'll pay for everyone's tickets at this point.

So... who wants to go to a concert with me?

Be seeing you.

I'm always up for concerts, and after going to a couple earlier this month, I want to go to more. Too bad South Bend doesn't get many bands stopping by.

One of my favorite concerts was actually at the Bluebird in Bloomington, when I saw Guided By Voices. B-town probably gets a ton of good bands; I wish I had taken advantage of that more when I still lived in town.

about

Jason P. Thompson is a 20-something web and graphic designer. I currently live in Bedford, IN and work at three small-market radio stations based in the same city. At work I wear many hats including IT Consultant, Webmaster, Graphic Designer, Assistant Program Director and Morning Producer. I do work in radio, so assume that I only get paid for one of those jobs.

I went to school for a career in TV or film but I have found myself down many different careers paths since that time. Perhaps I will never have a life long career (even though I have been currently employed at the same place I was hired on in high school back in early 2001), but that's OK with me.

When not at work, I enjoy keeping up with film, television and graphic design. Television is a particularly "bad" vice of mine; I try to give every new show at least one chance before committing one way or another.
