As promised, I am back to posting about the house from hell.
It just didn't seem proper to move the old house site over to this domain nor keep it on the other domain. So I decided to migrate it over a completely new domain, outofthishouse.com. (The full site title was already taken.)
The shorter address should make it easier to remember and I'm using WordPress for the first time (thanks to the amazing One-Click Installs from Dreamhost.) So far I'm pretty impressed at the dynamic way it manages content. I don't know why I was so afraid to experiment with it before.
This new site should help keep myself focused and moving forward with renovating my house and then getting it on the open market. Personal motivation is about the only thing these days that is going to get me to push through and start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm going to try to find a way to impliment some sort of indicator on these pages of when I update the house site so that you don't have to jump back and forth from the two sites to see if anything has changed. (Coders out there, any suggestions?)
I've already made my first post over there, promising to keep things rolling. We'll see if I stay true to my promise.
Be seeing you.
Jason P. Thompson is a 20-something web and graphic designer. I currently live in Bedford, IN and work at three small-market radio stations based in the same city. At work I wear many hats including IT Consultant, Webmaster, Graphic Designer, Assistant Program Director and Morning Producer. I do work in radio, so assume that I only get paid for one of those jobs.
I went to school for a career in TV or film but I have found myself down many different careers paths since that time. Perhaps I will never have a life long career (even though I have been currently employed at the same place I was hired on in high school back in early 2001), but that's OK with me.
When not at work, I enjoy keeping up with film, television and graphic design. Television is a particularly "bad" vice of mine; I try to give every new show at least one chance before committing one way or another.
