As most of you know, I own the house from hell. If you didn't know that, now you do. This house plays a large part of who I am these days.
I should have never bought this house. I rushed into it. It is a simple fact that I have finally come to terms with.
Looking back, I wish my inspector was more honest with me. That or I should have never talked him out of a lot of the things that he told me were wrong with the house. It's easier to point the blame at someone else, so I will. Doing so makes me feel better; at least for a little while.
At times this house makes The Money Pit look like an expensive dream vacation. I'm still leaving at this house, with plans to contract the rest of the work out to someone; especially the bathroom. Screaming and kicking the walls doesn't help; use your imagination on that one. Also, "prison shower" is a commonly used phrase in my daily conversation.
You really don't want to know. Trust me.
Getting to the point, I do have plans to bring my house site back online in the near future. Expect it to find residency somewhere on this domain. I want to keep this site and that site separate if at all possible.
Be seeing you.
Jason P. Thompson is a 20-something web and graphic designer. I currently live in Bedford, IN and work at three small-market radio stations based in the same city. At work I wear many hats including IT Consultant, Webmaster, Graphic Designer, Assistant Program Director and Morning Producer. I do work in radio, so assume that I only get paid for one of those jobs.
I went to school for a career in TV or film but I have found myself down many different careers paths since that time. Perhaps I will never have a life long career (even though I have been currently employed at the same place I was hired on in high school back in early 2001), but that's OK with me.
When not at work, I enjoy keeping up with film, television and graphic design. Television is a particularly "bad" vice of mine; I try to give every new show at least one chance before committing one way or another.
